...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT LOGAN AND WESTERN GOVE COUNTIES
THROUGH 930 PM CDT...

At 857 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 8
miles northeast of Russell Springs, or 14 miles southwest of Oakley,
moving east at 40 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up 55 mph, pea size hail and torrential rainfall.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of Logan and western
Gove Counties, including the following locations... The Monument
Rocks.

This includes Interstate 70 in Kansas between mile markers 76 and 92.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall with this storm may lead to localized flooding.
Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM CDT for
west central Kansas.
