.DISCUSSION...The high pressure to the south continues to dominate
the weather pattern with high-based thunderstorms over the higher
terrain each afternoon lasting into the evening. The primary threats
from these storms will be lightning, small hail and gusty outflow
winds. Storm coverage will diminish, shifting east to the Divide and
south into the southern mountains through Wednesday before another
surge of monsoonal moisture will bring a return of widely scattered
showers and thunderstorms to the region Thursday through the weekend.
Temperatures will remain near to above normal through the period with
light terrain driven winds.
