At 738 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over Johnson Lake, or 9 miles south of Lexington, moving east at 15 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and nickel size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of northeastern Gosper and south central Dawson Counties, northeast of Elwood. This includes Interstate 80 between mile markers 240 and 242.
