...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT NORTHERN ROOKS...SOUTHWESTERN
SMITH...PHILLIPS AND SOUTHWESTERN HARLAN COUNTIES THROUGH 1030 PM
CDT...

At 944 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong
thunderstorms along a line extending from near Stamford to Lenora.
Movement was southeast at 50 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 to 45 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Strong thunderstorms will be near...
  Long Island around 950 PM CDT.
  Prairie View and Woodruff around 955 PM CDT.
  Logan around 1000 PM CDT.

Other locations in the path of these storms include Phillipsburg,
Speed, Glade and Webster State Park.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until midnight CDT for
north central Kansas...and south central Nebraska.
