192 WGUS83 KGID 040336 FLSGID Flood Statement National Weather Service Hastings NE 1036 PM CDT Wed Jul 3 2024 NEC143-042100- /O.CON.KGID.FA.W.0007.000000T0000Z-240704T2100Z/ /00000.0.ER.000000T0000Z.000000T0000Z.000000T0000Z.OO/ Polk NE- 1036 PM CDT Wed Jul 3 2024 ...FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 4 PM CDT THURSDAY... * WHAT...Minor flooding caused primarily by excessive rainfall back on Monday and Tuesday continues, particularly along the Clear Creek in far northern Polk county. * WHERE...A portion of east central Nebraska, including the following county, Polk. * WHEN...Until 400 PM CDT Thursday. * IMPACTS...As of 945 PM CDT Wednesday, the automated gauge along the Clear Creek in far northeastern Polk County showed a stage of 7.59 feet, barely above minor flood stage of 7.5 feet. Although the water level has been very slowly dropping, it will likely be sometime on Thursday before it drops back below flood stage. It is also possible that additional rainfall in the area Wednesday night into Thursday morning could cause the Clear Creek to again slightly rise, and remain in minor flood longer than currently anticipated. At 7.5 feet, there is widespread flooding of lowland pastures along the creek and water will begin to reach up to the edge of county road 142. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1030 PM CDT, Minor flooding is ongoing in the warned area. - This includes the following streams and drainages...
