The Flood Advisory is cancelled for portions of central and east
central Nebraska, including the following areas, in central
Nebraska, southeast Howard County. In east central Nebraska, extreme
northwest York County.

Flooding is no longer expected to pose a threat. Please continue to
heed remaining road closures.

A Flood Watch remains in effect until 700 AM CDT Tuesday for
portions of central, east central, and south central Nebraska...

...FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 2 AM CDT TUESDAY...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE...Portions of central, east central, and south central
  Nebraska, including the following counties, in central Nebraska,
  Merrick and Nance. In east central Nebraska, Polk. In south
  central Nebraska, Adams, Buffalo, Clay, Hall, Hamilton and Kearney.

* WHEN...Until 200 AM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 1141 PM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges
    indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is
    ongoing in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain
    have fallen.
  - Flooding impacts will continue, but little additional
    rainfall is expected.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Grand Island, Hastings, Aurora, Central City, Wood River,
    Fullerton, Genoa, Kenesaw, Doniphan, Juniata, Alda, Clarks,
    Silver Creek, Giltner, Polk, Chapman, Phillips, Marquette,
    Trumbull and Hordville.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
