378 FNUS63 KFSD 020912 RFDFSD Rangeland Fire Danger Statement National Weather Service Sioux Falls SD 412 AM CDT Tue Jul 2 2024 .DISCUSSION... A cold front will move through the area today, turning winds to out of the west/northwest in its wake. Speeds and gusts will be on the low side though with speeds of only 5-10 mph and gusts up to around 15 mph. Highs will only warm to the 70s this afternoon with dew points remaining mainly in the 60s but slowly falling throughout the day. Relative humidity will only fall to 50-70+% today due to the cooler temperatures and higher dew points. The moist environment along with green fuels will keep fire danger low today. Light showers are also expected throughout the day, further reinforcing low fire danger.
