Temperatures remain on the low side of average for this time of year through the middle of the week. Periodic isolated showers are possible each afternoon and into the early evening hours. Accumulations should remain low, a few hundredths to a couple tenths. Light winds may allow for patchy fog formation in the early morning hours. Thursday and into the weekend, summer heat is expected to build into the region. Highs will increase a few degrees each day until they reach their max on Sunday in the upper 80s and mid 90s. Dew points will begin in the mid 60s and increase to the upper 60s to low 70s by Saturday. There exists chances for isolated showers the second half of the week, but confidence is low on their occurrence. Outdoor burning under these conditions can usually be with reasonable safety precautions, but should be monitored. OUTLOOK FOR TUESDAY AFTERNOON...The Grassland Fire Danger Index will reach the low category. The grassland fire danger product reflects fire danger for native grasses. It is not intended for cured agricultural crops, nor will it reflect conditions in road ditches which have been mowed. $$
