.DISCUSSION...
Significant fire weather concerns are not expected in Georgia
through Thursday. Winds will be from the southeast on Wednesday and
south on Thursday, with peak afternoon speeds in the 4 to 8 mph
range. Minimum humidity values will be near 50% both afternoons.
Heat index values will climb back above 100 degrees Thursday
afternoon. Scattered thunderstorms will occur each day, with the
greatest storm coverage expected between 3 PM and 8 PM. Transport
winds will be modest (generally less than 7 kt) and mixing heights
will be good (near 4000 ft AGL) both days.
