...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT CENTRAL DONA ANA COUNTY THROUGH
630 PM MDT...

At 603 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Las Cruces, moving northwest at 25 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Leasburg, Las Cruces, Radium Springs, NMSU Main Campus, Dona Ana,
Mesilla, Fairacres, Talavera, East Mesa, San Pablo, Picacho,
Northeast Las Cruces, Hill, Fort Selden State Historic Site, and
Mesilla Valley Bosque State Park.

This includes the following highways...
 Interstate 10 in New Mexico between mile markers 134 and 147.
 Interstate 25 in New Mexico between mile markers 1 and 18.
 Highway 70 in New Mexico between mile markers 150 and 156.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
