...FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM CDT THIS EVENING...
...REPLACES FLASH FLOOD WARNING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Portions of Kansas, including the following counties,
  Johnson, Leavenworth, Miami and Wyandotte and west central
  Missouri, including the following counties, Cass and Jackson.

* WHEN...Until 800 PM CDT Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
  and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 755 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. Flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
    shortly in the warned area. Between 3 and 4 inches of rain
    have fallen.
  - Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is
    expected.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Kansas City, Overland Park, Olathe, Independence, Lee`s
    Summit, Shawnee, Blue Springs, Lenexa, Leawood, Raytown,
    Grandview, Belton, Prairie Village, Raymore, Gardner, Grain
    Valley, Merriam, Harrisonville, Mission and Pleasant Hill.
  - This includes the following highways...
    Interstate 635 between mile markers 0 and 8.
    Kansas Turnpike between mile markers 206 and 226.
    Interstate 35 in Kansas between mile markers 200 and 235.
    Interstate 435 between mile markers 0 and 16...and
    between mile markers 57 and 83.
    Interstate 70 in Missouri between mile markers 0 and 28.
    Interstate 35 in Missouri between mile markers 0 and 4.
    Interstate 70 in Kansas between mile markers 410 and 423.
    Interstate 470 between mile markers 0 and 16.

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
