...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT WAYNE COUNTY THROUGH 330 AM
EDT...

At 225 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Belleville, or 7 miles southwest of Romulus, moving east at 45 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Livonia, Southfield, Taylor, Novi, Romulus, Flat Rock, Grosse Pointe,
Downtown Detroit, Canton, Detroit, Dearborn, Wyandotte, Trenton,
Grosse Ile, Northville, Belleville, Greenfield Village, Belle Isle,
Westland, and Farmington Hills.

This includes the following highways...
 I-75 between mile markers 27 and 58.
 I-275 between mile markers 8 and 29.
 I-94 between mile markers 188 and 225.
 I-96 between mile markers 168 and 192.
 M-10 between mile markers 1 and 12.
 M-14 between mile markers 16 and 21.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 500 AM EDT for
southeastern Michigan.
