This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of central Iowa.

.DAY ONE...This afternoon and tonight

Scattered thunderstorms are forecast through this evening, first
in northern Iowa this afternoon and then in northeastern and
eastern Iowa before departing around sunset. Some of these storms
could be strong to severe, with large hail the primary threat
along with locally heavy rain.

A few additional thunderstorms may enter northern Iowa from
Minnesota late tonight, well after midnight. Severe weather is not
expected by that time.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday

Scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms are forecast on
Friday, ending in the evening. Severe weather is not anticipated.

Periodic thunderstorm chances return at times from late Saturday
into the middle of next week. Any severe weather potential during
this time will be better evaluated in the coming days.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotters may be needed at times through this evening, mainly north
and northeast.
