increased in duration for the following rivers in Iowa...

  Cedar River at Cedar Falls affecting Black Hawk County.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

For the latest river and stream observations and forecasts refer to
weather.gov/desmoines/water.

River forecasts include observed precipitation plus forecast
precipitation over the next 24 hours.

* WHAT...Moderate flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...The Cedar River at Cedar Falls, or from the West Fork
  Cedar River to the Cedar Falls-Waterloo city limits.

* WHEN...Until Monday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...At 88.5 feet, Water affects the bike path at George Wyth
  Park.
  At 92.8 feet, Water affects Grant St at Horty St...Lincoln St west
  of Independence Ave...Independence Ave and Tourist Park.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 10:45 AM CDT Tuesday the stage was 88.3 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above minor flood
    stage tomorrow afternoon and into moderate stage at a crest
    of 93.0 feet by early Friday afternoon. It will then fall
    below flood stage early Monday morning.
  - Flood stage is 89.0 feet.
