Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Southeast Wyoming/Western Nebraska
National Weather Service CHEYENNE WY
226 PM MDT Mon Jul 8 2024

.DISCUSSION...

Temperatures will gradually warm through the week ahead, leading
up to near record high temperatures for Friday into the weekend.
RH is expected to drop below critical values outside of the higher
terrain every afternoon this week, and critical RH will expand
into the mountains by Thursday afternoon. Precipitation will be
very limited this week, but a few isolated PM showers/storms will
be possible mainly over the higher terrain. Winds are expected to
remain light for most of the week ahead, which will prevent critical
fire weather conditions.
