CAMERON AND NORTHWESTERN CLINTON COUNTIES THROUGH 145 PM EDT... At 1256 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking numerous strong thunderstorms along a line extending from 11 miles southeast of Olean to 22 miles northeast of Johnsonburg to 11 miles east of St. Marys to 15 miles northeast of Clearfield to 13 miles northwest of Tyrone. Movement was northeast at 40 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Clearfield, Cameron, Wharton, Philipsburg, Woodland, Coudersport, Port Allegany, Emporium, Smethport, Hyde, Roulette, Osceola Mills, Shinglehouse, Plymptonville, Chester Hill, Karthaus, Houtzdale, North Philipsburg, Clarence, and Betula. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Very heavy rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways. These storms may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio stations and available television stations for additional information and possible warnings from the National Weather Service. Persons in campgrounds should consider seeking sturdy shelter until these storms pass.
