Regional Weather Summary
National Weather Service State College PA
1112 PM EDT Thu Jul 4 2024

A very warm and and humid airmass will remain entrenched over the
Keystone state into the beginning of the weekend.

Isolated showers and thunderstorms will continue overnight thanks
to a frontal boundary stalled west to east across the Commonwealth.
Locally heavy rainfall is possible with some of the stronger
storms.

It will be warm and humid overnight with low temperatures ranging
from the mid 60s across the northern tier counties to only the low
to mid 70s in the urban areas of the southeastern piedmont.

Showers and thunderstorms will become more widespread Friday
afternoon into Saturday. Gusty winds, locally heavy rain and hail
will accompany some of the stronger storms.

Heat index values could approach 100 degrees across southeastern
Pennsylvania both Friday and Saturday. The front should finally
clear the area by Sunday, with slightly lower humidity expected.
