Regional Weather Summary
National Weather Service State College PA
1156 AM EDT Wed Jul 3 2024

High pressure pushing off the East Coast will produce a southerly
flow of warmer and more humid air to the Keystone state for the
Fourth of July into the beginning of the holiday weekend.

A partly sunny afternoon is in store. A few showers and storms
are possible across northwestern Pennsylvania by evening, with
high temperatures topping out in the 80s for most locations.

Scattered showers and storms remain possible tonight into
Thursday, as a weak front drops southward into the area. It will
be a warm and humid Fourth of July, with heat indices reaching the
mid to upper 90s in the valleys of south-central and southeastern
Pennsylvania.

A frontal boundary will remain draped across the area Friday into
Saturday, maintaining a daily chance of showers and storms,
although neither day will be a wash out. The front should clear
the area by Sunday, with slightly lower humidity expected.
