Regional Weather Summary
National Weather Service State College PA
550 PM EDT Thu Jul 4 2024

A very warm and and humid airmass will remain entrenched over the
Keystone state into the beginning of the weekend.

Scattered showers and thunderstorms will be possible through the
evening hours, though most places will be dry. A few of the
thunderstorms could produce gusty winds and heavy rainfall,
especially across southern Pennsylvania.

A frontal boundary will remain draped across the area Friday into
Saturday, maintaining a daily chance of showers and storms. Heat
index values could approach 100 degrees across southeastern
Pennsylvania both Friday and Saturday. The front should finally
clear the area by Sunday, with slightly lower humidity expected.
