...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT EFFINGHAM...JASPER...SCREVEN
AND HAMPTON COUNTIES UNTIL 5 PM EDT...

At 430 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Kildare, moving east at 20 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
  Springfield, Estill, Newington, Oliver, Furman, Scotia, Shirley,
  Garnett, Shawnee and Clyo.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Monitor the weather situation closely and be alert for threatening
weather conditions.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional
information and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
