...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT SOUTHEASTERN PISCATAQUIS AND
SOUTHWESTERN PENOBSCOT COUNTIES THROUGH 600 PM EDT...

At 513 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Guilford to 7 miles northwest of Newport
to near Fairfield. Movement was east at 25 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Dover-Foxcroft, Dexter, Newport, Guilford, Brownville Junction,
Hermon, Corinth, Milo, Kenduskeag, Orneville, East Corinth, Lake View
Plantation, Ebeemee, Levant, Carmel, Corinna, Hudson, Charleston,
Plymouth, and Sangerville.

This includes the following highways...
 Interstate 95 between mile markers 157 and 170.
 State Highway 11 between Newport and Brownville Junction.
 State Highway 9 near Dixmont.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
