.SYNOPSIS...
High pressure will build in from the west today through
Tuesday, then begin to exit across the Maritimes Wednesday. A
cold front will cross the region Thursday. High pressure will
cross the region Friday.

.NEAR TERM /THROUGH TONIGHT/...
1000 AM Update: Mostly clear skies continue through this
morning, as seen on current visible satellite imagery. A few
fair weather cu may develop across the forecast area today, but
in a much drier air mass, will remain limited in height and
number. Increased max temperatures slightly with this update
based on current observations and trends, otherwise the previous
forecast remains on track.

Previous Discussion:
The cold front which brought our thunderstorms on Sunday is now
pushing off the coast. High pressure will build in from the west
today bringing a mostly sunny and seasonable day. Sounding
forecasts indicate a few fair weather cumulus clouds around 6K
ft will be around over the north. Otherwise, a mostly sunny sky
is expected across the north. Lingering clouds from the cold
front will begin the day partly cloudy Downeast with a trend
toward a sunnier sky as this moisture pushes offshore.

Tonight will be clear, cool and tranquil as high pressure
builds in from the west. A bit of light patchy ground fog can`t
be ruled out in some of the valleys and open areas toward dawn
Tuesday morning.

.SHORT TERM /TUESDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY/...
High pressure will cross the region Tuesday through Tuesday
night, then begin to exit across the Maritimes Wednesday through
Wednesday night while a warm front crosses the region. A cold
front will begin to approach Wednesday night. Expect
sunny/mostly sunny skies Tuesday, Then mostly clear/partly
cloudy Tuesday night. Clouds will increase across northern
areas Wednesday, with also a slight chance of showers late
across northwest areas. Expect partly sunny skies Downeast
Wednesday. Generally expect mostly cloudy skies along with a
chance of showers Wednesday night. Could also have the slight
chance of an evening thunderstorm. Expect near normal, to
slightly above normal, level temperatures Tuesday/Wednesday.

.LONG TERM /WEDNESDAY NIGHT THROUGH SUNDAY/...
A cold front will cross the region Thursday with a chance of
showers/thunderstorms, though timing differences still exist.
High pressure will cross the region Friday, with a warm front
approaching Friday night. Generally expect partly cloudy skies
Friday, though could have the slight chance of showers late. The
warm front will cross the region Saturday with a chance of
showers along with a slight chance of thunderstorms. A cold
front should approach later Sunday keeping a chance of showers,
along with a slight chance of thunderstorms, across the region.
Near normal, to slightly above normal, level temperatures are
expected Thursday through Sunday.

.AVIATION /14Z MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY/...
NEAR TERM: VFR conditions are expected across the area today
and tonight. Winds will be light N today and very light N to NW
tonight, possibly becoming nearly calm late tonight.

SHORT TERM:

Tuesday through Wednesday...VFR. Slight chance of a late
afternoon shower across northwest areas Wednesday.
North/northwest winds 5 to 10 knots Tuesday. Variable winds 5 to
10 knots Tuesday night. South/southeast winds 10 to 15 knots
Wednesday.

Wednesday night...VFR/MVFR. A chance of showers, with a slight
chance of thunderstorms. South winds 10 to 15 knots with gusts
up to around 20 knots.

Thursday...VFR/MVFR with a chance of showers and thunderstorms.
Variable conditions with any thunderstorms. South winds 10 to
15 knots, becoming variable 5 to 10 knots.

Thursday night...VFR/MVFR early with a chance of showers and
thunderstorms. Variable conditions with any thunderstorms. VFR
late. Variable winds 5 to 10 knots.

Friday...VFR. Slight chance of an afternoon shower. Variable
winds 5 to 10 knots.
