The affected areas were...
Lake Ontario Nearshore waters from near Sunset Beach to near
Braddock Bay...

The thunderstorm has moved out of the warned area and no longer
poses a significant threat to boaters.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 600 PM EDT for
the adjacent waters of Lake Ontario.

...A SPECIAL MARINE WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1215 PM EDT...

For the following areas...
Lake Ontario outer water from Hamlin  Beach to Ontario On The Lake...

At 1204 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 17 nm northeast of
Hamlin Beach, or 36 nm northwest of Sodus Bay, moving east at 35
knots.

HAZARD...Wind gusts to 40 knots and large hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and
         suddenly higher waves. Large hail could result in
         structural damage.

The severe thunderstorm will remain over mainly open waters.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Move to safe harbor immediately as gusty winds and high waves are
expected.

Boaters should seek safe harbor immediately until this storm passes.
Wind gusts to 40 knots, large hail, high waves, dangerous lightning,
and heavy rain are possible with this storm.

Frequent lightning is occurring with this storm. If caught on the
open water stay below deck if possible, keep away from ungrounded
metal objects.
