...NWS Damage Survey for 08/05/2024 Tornado Event...

An NWS storm survey team found a short-lived tornado north of
Waukon, Iowa with the storm on Monday, August 5. The team will
investigate additional locations in Winneshiek County and any
further updates will be sent later this afternoon.

Survey Summary:
This shorter tornado damaged mainly trees along its path north of
Waukon. One home and several outbuildings/vehicles were damaged
as well.
