...NWS Damage Survey for 06/17/2024 Tornado Event - Update #2...

.Update...Colby, Wisconsin tornado track extended a bit further
southwest into Clark County side of town.

.Overview...Damage was confirmed on the Clark County side of Colby
from the storms that impacted north-central Wisconsin during the
morning hours of June 17th. This damage was determined to be from
a developing tornado that went on to impact the Marathon County side
of town within NWS Green Bay`s warning area.

Survey Summary:
The tornado started on the western side of Colby within Clark
County (NWS La Crosse warning area) before crossing the county
line into Marathon County (NWS Green Bay warning area) where it
continued northeast before dissipating. Clark County Emergency
Management confirmed a garage door was blown in on the west side
of a large manufacturing facility on the west side of Division
Street. The building also lost some of its roof and some trees in
the vicinity were also damaged.
