...The National Weather Service in La Crosse WI has issued a Flood
Watch for the following rivers in Iowa...

  Cedar River at Charles City affecting Floyd County.

.Upstream locations picked up anywhere from 0.75 to locally over 2
inches of rainfall from around Osage to Austin Minnesota. Additional
rainfall is expected this afternoon and evening with 0.5 to 1 inches
of rain expected, with locally higher amounts possible. Will
reassess where the heaviest precipitation axis falls this afternoon
and upgrade to a warning as needed.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If you are in the watch area, remain alert to possible flooding.

Residents and those with interests near the river should monitor
rising water levels and be prepared for possible flood warnings.

* WHEN...From late tonight to early Friday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...At 14.0 feet, Bracket Street begins to flood and is
  closed.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 10:30 AM CDT Tuesday the stage was 6.6 feet.
  - Forecast...Flood stage may be reached late tonight.
