...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT CENTRAL ALBANY AND SOUTHWESTERN
RENSSELAER COUNTIES THROUGH 130 PM EDT...

At 103 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Delmar, moving east at 55 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Albany, East Greenbush, Rensselaer, Delmar, Guilderland, Menands,
Voorheesville, West Sand Lake, Wyantskill, Averill Park, Feura Bush,
Wynantskill, North Greenbush, New Scotland, Sand Lake, Poestenkill,
Clarksville, East Nassau, Bleecker Stadium, and Karlsfeld.

This includes the following highways...
 Interstate 90 between exits 10 and 24.
 Interstate 87 between exits 23 and 24.
 Interstate 787 between exits 1 and 6.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 800 PM EDT for
east central New York.
