...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT EAST CENTRAL ULSTER AND
NORTHWESTERN DUTCHESS COUNTIES THROUGH 345 PM EDT...

At 242 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
High Falls, or 9 miles northwest of New Paltz, moving northeast at 25
mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Kingston, Saugerties, Rhinebeck, Hurley, Red Hook, High Falls, Lake
Katrine, Tillson, Saugerties South, Olivebridge, Port Ewen,
Staatsburg, West Hurley, Rosendale, Marbletown, Veteran, Rolling
Meadows, Maple Hill, Atwood, and Sweet Meadows.

This includes Interstate 87 between exits 19 and 20.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 800 PM EDT for
east central New York.
