This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for east central New York. .DAY ONE...Today and tonight. A cold front moving across the region today will bring widely scattered showers and thunderstorms. There is a Marginal Risk (level 1 of 5) for thunderstorms becoming severe with damaging winds the primary threat. There is also a threat of heavy downpours that could lead to localized flooding in urban and poor drainage areas and isolated flash flooding. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday. Heat index values will again be close to Heat Advisory criteria Monday and Tuesday in the Capital Region. If confidence increases, a Heat Advisory may be needed.
