.Prolonged moderate to heavy rain has caused small streams to rise
significantly over the past 36hrs. Appreciable rain rates will
continue through this evening, continuing to push streams and rivers
to near or above minor flood stage through late Monday night.

...FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 AM AKDT TUESDAY...

* WHAT...Small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall
  continues.

* WHERE...Areas Around Auke Lake, Jordan Creek Mall, and Montana
  Creek.

* WHEN...Until 1000 AM AKDT Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
  Some low-water crossings may become impassable. River or stream
  flows are elevated. Soils remain saturated and excessive runoff
  will result in minor flooding of rivers, creeks, lakes, streams,
  and other low-lying areas and flood-prone locations.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 702 PM AKDT, Satellite estimates and rain gauge data
    indicate moderate to heavy rain across the advisory area.
    Between 4.0 and 9.0 inches of rain have fallen in the last 72
    hours. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.25 to 0.75 inches are
    possible into Tuesday morning. Jordan Creek crested at 10.04
    ft at 1:00 PM AKDT today and is slowly dropping, but it is
    still above minor flood stage. It is expected to drop below
    minor flood stage Tuesday morning. As of 7PM AKDT, Montana
    Creek was at 14.25 ft and continuing to steadily rise. It is
    expected to just barely touch minor flood stage, which is
    14.5 ft, at around 10PM AKDT this evening. Auke Lake was
    slowly crossing above minor flood stage of 33 ft as of 7PM
    AKDT. As of 7PM AKDT, Mendenhall Lake was at 8.31 ft and
    still very slowly rising. It is expected to crest below 8.5
    ft, which is below minor flood stage. Other area rivers and
    streams are running on the higher side as well.

  - For Jordan Creek near Juneau:
    At 7am the stage was 9.88 feet and slowly falling.
    Flood Stage is 9.7 feet.
    Forecast: Jordan Creek crested at 10.04 ft at 1:00 PM AKDT
    today and is slowly dropping, but it is still above minor
    flood stage. It is expected to drop below minor flood stage
    Tuesday morning.


    Impacts:
    At 9.2 feet: This is the stage when Jordan Creek is at
    bankfull and water will begin to inundate areas along the
    edges of the creek near Race Reality and Jordan Square.

    At 9.7 feet: Water will inundate the Jordan Square`s front
    and back parking lots, around Jordan Creek office
    condominiums with up to one foot of water. Some residential
    driveways will be flooded and cut off.

  - For Auke Lake near Auke Bay:
    At 7:00 PM Auke Lake was slowly crossing above minor flood
    stage of 33 ft as of 7PM AKDT.

    Impacts:
    At 33.0 ft, Water from the lake will inundate yards of homes
    along Auke Lake.

  - If you live near or along Auke Lake and Jordan Creek, or other
  small streams stay alert and be prepared to take action.

television, or NOAA Weather Radio for further information.

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
