...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTHWESTERN UNION AND EAST
CENTRAL COLFAX COUNTIES THROUGH 330 AM MDT...

At 256 AM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 11
miles west of Capulin, or 16 miles southeast of Raton, moving east at
20 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Folsom and Capulin.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If threatening weather approaches your area, take shelter in a sturdy
building.

Motorists can expect brief but sudden changes in visibility and
ponding of water on highways as storms move through the area.

Accumulations of small hail on roads can create very slick and
hazardous driving conditions.
