...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHEASTERN LINCOLN AND
SOUTHWESTERN CHAVES COUNTIES THROUGH 800 PM MDT...

At 724 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 13
miles east of Elk, or 23 miles east of Mayhill, moving southeast at
20 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Dunken.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If threatening weather approaches your area, take shelter in a sturdy
building.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 1100 PM MDT for
central and southeastern New Mexico.
