...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT EAST CENTRAL ROOSEVELT AND
SOUTHEASTERN CURRY COUNTIES THROUGH 730 AM MDT...

At 701 AM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Arch, or 14 miles southeast of Portales, moving southeast at 45 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.  A gust to 47mph was measured at Canon AFB
         as the storm moved through.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Clovis, Portales, Farwell, Texico, Dora, Causey, Cannon Air Force
Base, Lingo, Arch, and Oasis State Park.

This includes Highway 60 between Mile Markers 381 and 397.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If threatening weather approaches your area, take shelter in a sturdy
building.
