...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHWESTERN SANTA FE AND
BERNALILLO COUNTIES THROUGH 500 PM MDT...

At 430 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Cedar Grove, or 14 miles northwest of Moriarty, moving south at 5
mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and nickel size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Edgewood, Sedillo, and Cedar Grove.

This includes Interstate 40 between Mile Markers 181 and 190.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If threatening weather approaches your area, take shelter in a sturdy
building.

Motorists can expect brief but sudden changes in visibility and
ponding of water on highways as storms move through the area.
