...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHWESTERN LOS ALAMOS AND
SOUTHEASTERN SANDOVAL COUNTIES THROUGH 615 PM MDT...

At 535 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorm winds
moving into the South Valley.

HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Los Alamos, San Felipe Pueblo, Cochiti Pueblo, Frijoles, Bandelier
National Monument, Cochiti Lake, Santa Ana Pueblo, Algodones, and
Placitas.

This includes the following highways...
 Interstate 25 between Mile Markers 246 and 250.
 Highway 550 between Mile Markers 9 and 13.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If threatening weather approaches your area, take shelter in a sturdy
building.

Blowing dust associated with strong thunderstorm winds can reduce
visibilities below one quarter mile at times.
