The National Weather Service in Albuquerque has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  East Central Sandoval County in north central New Mexico...
  West Central Santa Fe County in north central New Mexico...

* Until 730 PM MDT.

* At 522 PM MDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
  thunderstorms with heavy rain moving northward across the warned
  area. Up to 1 inch of rain has fallen over parts of the area.
  Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible in the
  warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
  shortly.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
           areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
           other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Santo Domingo Pueblo, Madrid, Cerrillos Hills State Park, Los
  Cerrillos, Kewa Pueblo, La Cienega, San Felipe Pueblo, Domingo and
  Pena Blanca.

This includes Interstate 25 between Mile Markers 254 and 270.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
