The National Weather Service in Albuquerque has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Northwestern Catron County in west central New Mexico...

* Until 900 PM MDT.

* At 543 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms with heavy
  rain moving slowly eastward across the warned area. Up to 2.5
  inches of rain have fallen over parts of the area today.
  Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible in the
  warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
  shortly.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
           areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
           other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Salt Lake, Red Hill, Quemado and Omega.

This includes Highway 60 between Mile Markers 0 and 43.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
