...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1045 PM MDT THIS
EVENING FOR CENTRAL VALENCIA COUNTY...

At 842 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated that thunderstorms had moved
away from Los Lunas and only light rain persists. Between 1 and 2.5
inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.1
inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is likely
ongoing as runoff from earlier heavy rains continues.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
         highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
         drainage and low-lying areas.

Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Los Lunas, Valencia, Los Chaves and Peralta.

This includes Interstate 25 near Mile Marker 204.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
