516 FNAK52 PAFG 042145 FWFWCZ Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Western Alaska National Weather Service Fairbanks AK 145 PM AKDT Thu Jul 4 2024 .DISCUSSION... Tonight will see continued rain showers through much of the western interior north of the Seward Peninsula. Total accumulations overnight could be from 0.25" to 0.5". Localized area could see up to 0.75" with more persistent showers. Friday we will have another low pressure begin to move onshore near the Seward Peninsula and begin to move east across the interior. This will bring another round of showers with accumulation up to 0.15" being possible. Max temperatures are looking to remain on the cooler side with the interior portions staying in the up 50s until Monday afternoon. Minimum RH values will be above 55% until Monday afternoon. Higher terrain could see southwesterly winds 15 to 20 mph through Saturday.
