At 242 AM, National Weather Service radar detected a large area of
showers and thunderstorms, some with heavy rain mostly in Cherokee
and Adair counties in Oklahoma and Washington and Madison counties
in Arkansas. The precipitation was in the Bentonville, Rogers and
Fayetteville area. Movement was to the southeast at around 20 mph.
The average amount where it rained last hour was one tenth to one
quarter of an inch with maximum amounts of an inch to an inch and a
half. Coverage and intensity remained about the same as last hour.
The Tulsa area forecast for late tonight and into this morning,
showers and thunderstorms likely with a chance of showers and
thunderstorms and temperatures 71 to 76 degrees along with north
winds up to 5 mph.
