At 842 PM, National Weather Service radar detected scattered
showers and thunderstorms, some with heavy rain generally south of a
line from Barlesville to Fayetteville. Thunderstorms with locally
heavy rain were located in Muskogee and Delaware counties in
Oklahoma and Benton county in Arkansas. The precipitation was in the
Tulsa and Bentonville, Rogers and Fayetteville areas. Movement was
to the southeast at around 15 mph. The average amount where it
rained last hour was around one quarter of an inch with maximum
amounts of an inch and a half to two inches. Intensity increased
during the last hour. The Tulsa area forecast for late this evening
, late this evening and into overnight, mostly cloudy, thunderstorms
and showers likely. Some thunderstorms may be severe .
