Calm and quiet weather will persist through Saturday morning, when
the next chances for precipitation arise across parts of West
Central Texas. Precipitation chances will begin across the Big
Country late Saturday morning, spread southward into the Concho
Valley by the afternoon, and then encompassing parts of the
Heartland by Saturday night into early Sunday morning. These
isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected to
remain mostly sub-severe throughout the period, with the main
impacts being localized heavy rainfall, dangerous lightning, and
some localized gusty winds.

An upper trough will hang over West Central Texas into next week.
Rain chances will be on the increase Sunday into Monday as a weak
cold front moves into, and washes out over the region. The
potential for localized heavy rainfall will also increase Sunday
and Monday as precipitable water levels increase to 1.5 to
inches. Storms will also be slow moving as steering winds aloft
will be weak. Temperatures will also decrease, with highs in the
mid and upper 90s Saturday (with 100 in the Concho Valley),
falling into the upper 80s to lower 90s Sunday and mid and upper
80s Sunday.
