This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of the Missouri
Ozarks and extreme southeast Kansas.

.DAY ONE...Tonight.

Weather hazards expected...

  Marginal hail risk.
  Marginal thunderstorm wind damage risk.
  Limited lightning risk.
  Limited excessive heat risk.
  Limited excessive rainfall risk

DISCUSSION...

Heat index values will continue to drop into the lower to middle
90s through late evening.

After midnight, thunderstorms will begin to push into west
central and central Missouri, mainly areas along and north of
Highway 54. Some strong storms will be possible with hail up to
quarter size and wind gusts up to 50 mph. In addition, torrential
rainfall will be possible.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday.

The heat and humidity will linger through Thursday with some
areas again getting heat index values in the 100 to 110 degree
range. Highest heat index values are expected south of Interstate
44.

Strong to severe storms will be possible on Wednesday and
Thursday with damaging thunderstorm wind gusts as the main severe
weather risk. In addition, torrential rainfall may lead to some
localized flooding to develop.
