Surface high pressure will filter into the region under
northwesterly upper level flow through tonight and Saturday.
With the exception of mild wind gusts this afternoon (gusts to
15-20mph) in advance of the high pressure and a few clouds
moving over the region, the weather across the ozarks will be
rather pleasant compared to the past week.

With high pressure over the region tonight and Saturday, winds
will become rather light. An upper level trough will move into
the plains Saturday with dry and sunny conditions. This will
allow temperatures to warm to near average for this time of year
in the middle 80s to around 90 degrees.

.LONG TERM /SATURDAY NIGHT THROUGH FRIDAY/...

The upper trough will slowly shift east, placing the Ozarks
under more southwesterly flow aloft. This will ultimately bring
a return of showers and storms for Sunday spreading from west
to east throughout the day into Monday. The potential for any
severe storms remains limited but will be monitored.

There remains good agreement in developing a ridge over the
western CONUS next week. Beyond Tuesday there is no really good
signal for rain, and rain chances remain 25% or less Tuesday
through Friday. The remnants of Hurricane Beryl may track into
or near the region towards the middle to latter part of next
week, but may have limited impacts on the Ozark. This will be a
wait and see as we head into next week however.
