Issued by NWS Seattle/Tacoma, WA
970 FNUS56 KSEW 032224 FWFSEW Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Western Washington National Weather Service Seattle WA 324 PM PDT Wed Jul 3 2024 ...HEAT ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM NOON FRIDAY TO 10 PM PDT MONDAY... .DISCUSSION...Onshore flow will weaken as a stout upper-level ridge amplifies over the region starting Thursday. Hot and continued dry weather will take shape. These factors along with rapidly drying fuels and critical minimum RH values will lead to elevated fire weather conditions this weekend and possibly into early next week. The return of onshore flow will arrive Sunday night into Monday. It`ll bring decent RH recoveries to fire zones such as 650 but won`t be strong enough to completely limit the threat for the Cascades early next week. Forecast for 20 foot wind speed (valleys and ridge tops) are 10 minute averages reflecting RAWS winds.
