At 552 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over Valle Crucis, or near Sugar Grove and Beech Mountain, moving south at 10 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail. Heavy rainfall. Cloud-to-ground lightning. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Boone... Beech Mountain... Sugar Grove... Foscoe... Seven Devils... Rominger... and Valle Crucis. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
