PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Do not leave children and pets in unattended vehicles. Car interiors will reach lethal temperatures in a matter of minutes. To reduce risk during outdoor work, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks in shaded or air conditioned environments. This includes Coleville and Chalfant Valley. * WHEN...Until 10 AM PDT Friday. * IMPACTS...Hot temperatures may cause heat illnesses. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...For areas above 6000 feet in the Eastern Sierra, sufficient cooling at night will help mitigate heat impacts therefore the Heat Advisory is no longer valid for those areas.
