A prolonged period of hot and dry conditions will extend into early
next week. Well above normal temperatures, low daytime humidities
with poor overnight recoveries, and deep mixing heights will prevail
until at least early next week. Winds will remain light outside of
typical afternoon breezes, but increased winds are possible Sunday
afternoon into next week.

Discussion for SF and Inyo
319 PM PDT Wed Jul 3 2024

Very hot and dry conditions will continue through
early next week as an intense heat wave builds over the region.
Periodic afternoon breezes can be expected but no large scale
strong winds are forecast. Daily min RH values in the single
digits are likely outside of the highest elevations, with minimal
overnight recovery.
