This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of central...east
central...south central and southeast Colorado.

.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight

For the eastern plains, isolated late afternoon showers and
thunderstorms are expected to develop generally along and east of
the I-25 corridor, and then move east over the far eastern plains
by early evening. One or two of these storms may become severe,
especially near the Kansas border. Wind gusts to 70 mph, Hail the
size of quarter and an isolated brief tornado could occur.

Another round of storms is expected to develop late this evening
along and east of the I-25 corridor and move east over the plains
during the early morning hours of Wednesday. Some of these
storms may also be severe, producing wind gusts to 60 mph and
quarter size hail.

Over the mountains today, any thunderstorm activity will be
isolated and high based, and should end by early evening.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday

A few severe thunderstorms will be possible on Wednesday across
the plains. Large hail, damaging winds and an isolated tornado
will be possible. The best chance of severe storms will generally
be north of highway 50, and east of I-25.

For the remainder of the period, Isolated to scattered
thunderstorms are expected each afternoon. with the exception of
Thursday. The main hazards from storms will be gusty outflow
winds, lightning, and hail. Storms that produce heavy rainfall
could lead to flash flooding concerns over burn scars and other
vulnerable areas.

Thursday will be largely dry with a very small chance for any
storms, with the main concern being high fire danger due to dry
surface conditions and gusty winds.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Weather conditions that meet reporting criteria for spotters will
be possible over portions of the region.
