...HEAT ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 PM PDT THURSDAY...

.DISCUSSION...A weather system passing through the area today will
create a chance of light showers and possibly some isolated
thunderstorms for the site this afternoon. Expectation is that
once some sunshine peeks through the first half of the day today,
chances for storms will increase, with the best window of
opportunity for storm development occurring between Noon and 6 PM.
Winds will start out east and slowly shift counterclockwise back
toward the west by nightfall. Hot and dry conditions then return
Thursday onward.

.TODAY...

Sky/weather.........Mostly cloudy (70-80 percent) then becoming
                    mostly sunny (25-35 percent). Slight chance of
                    showers and thunderstorms in the late morning
                    and afternoon (15-20 percent), or until 6 PM.
CWR.................15 percent decreasing to 1 percent late in the
                    afternoon.
LAL.................2 until 1700 (5 PM), then 1.
Max temperature.....99-102.
Min humidity........11-16 percent.
Wind (20 ft)........East winds 5 to 10 mph shifting to the
                    Northeast by Noon, then shifting to the North
                    by 5 PM. late in the Gusty and erratic winds
                    expected near thunderstorms.
